About me

Hi, I’m Sally.
I work with leaders and businesses to find the bottlenecks and repetitive manual work that consumes too much of your week. Then we work out what you can safely hand off to AI, to free yourself up for the work you’re actually hired for.
When I started posting about what I was learning with AI, people I hadn’t spoken to in years got in touch to ask my advice. I was enjoying the training part of my job, and I remember thinking, “Maybe there’s a business here.”
Background
How I got here.
Travel and my first AI training
Travel isn’t the usual background for an AI coach, but it’s mine. I spent 26 years in the industry, including 12 working in TMCs. My journey with AI started in 2022, when I was a travel buyer at a big tech company. I had AI training and access to the tools they were building, with the freedom to test them, build with them and try to break them.
Then the software startup
I joined a software startup as the travel expert. The founders wanted us to experiment with AI, while the engineers were much more sceptical. If I got carried away with an idea, their response was often, “That’s just software.” Annoying, but useful. It taught me to ask whether AI was the right answer and to take data and risk seriously.
I was using vibe coding tools to build prototypes, and I could see how AI was getting rid of the knowledge and skills barriers that had stopped me building things myself. It was an exciting time. I experimented with Claude and ChatGPT to automate admin, build systems, write PRDs and create presentation slides. It was a great sandpit for experimenting.
How I keep learning
I use the Entertainment feature on my Peloton to watch YouTube how-to videos while I burn calories in the garage. In my spare time, I listen to podcasts to keep up with new AI tools and models and hear how other people are using AI in their work and lives. I love Gemini Notebook. It’s an amazing resource for teaching myself new concepts, tools and models. I’ve built automations, an app and my own website along the way.
Why I teach it now
I’ve tried and tested a lot, and I want to share the stuff that really works for me: the automations that save me time, the skills that improve what I produce, and how I use AI to be three times more productive on tasks I’d otherwise do manually.
When I was asked to build and run an AI skills programme for our travel-manager community, I found I loved teaching it. The best bit was seeing someone take a skill from a session and use it on a task I hadn’t suggested. That’s when I knew they could carry on without me.
